Greetings,

This is my first blog.  Although I have been a Christian since my teens in the Eighties, it was only in the last 7 years that I got serious about my faith and reading the Bible.  I was away from the Church for many years and is currently attending a Church.  I realized to my shock that the Christian beliefs in Singapore has changed drastically in the last 40 years. I started to ask questions and faced many challenges both within and outside my circle of friends.  I have been described as like the Bereans in the Bible, that intently study the Scriptures to ensure that what Paul taught was Biblical. 

In this blog, I hope to enlighten more Christians and encourage them to study the Word, so that they can be guarded against the many teachings that are questionable.  Some of those includes :

i) What is the true Gospel ?
ii) How do we read the Bible and interpret it correctly ? 
iii) Are tongues and healings like what we saw in the book for Acts still for today?
iv) Are there still prophets and apostles today ?
v) Do we have to obey the 10 commandments ?
vi) What are the dangerous paths that the modern Church is leading us to ?
vii) Should Christians accept LGBT into the Church ?

I am not an expert, but I will be happy to go on a journey with anyone who is interested and is open to study the Scriptures

Salvation according to the Bible

Salvation according to the Bible If you ask your Christian friends or even friends that are from the same Church, how does a Christian become a Christian.  You will be surprised to hear differing answers.  The main cause of this confusion is the lack of understanding after reading the 4 Gospel books or many have not even finished reading them.  The "Sinner's Prayer" and "Roman Road" does not help too.  The simple act of a prayer can save someone from the clutches of the Devil is something many fundamentalist do not believe (e.g. Pastors John Macarthur, Justin Peters, David Platt). The misinterpretation of John 3:16 does not help too.
